Thes are just fast sketches of hou the back disk brakes culd be done.

This on is of the complete assembley with out the disk, brake pads and brake pads holder but i hope you can guess where the will go for now, will add them later but mean while you have to do with the pic of the assembley underneith to compare with.

Ok this is one way to get better and less matnens needy brakes. What you need to do is strip down the mini standard axel.

Make a sleewing for the part in the bottom where the axel is wider as its used for standing the bering on and when you switch to swift berings they are bigger and therfor you need a bigger platform for them.

If you dont whant to make a hole new mounting for the brakepads and use the existing one from the swift you need to make a spacer so that you have a spacer with both the minis 3 bolts to atatch it to the arm and the swifts 4 bolts to atatch the brakepads holder to it.

You need to sleewe the axel to be abel to adapt the bigger berings from the swift if you decide to use ther hub.

A new washer, not at all necesery as the mini axel is so slighly smaler but if you like.

A spacer betwene the hub and disk as when you fit the first spacer to hold the brakepads holder you move the pads out with the thiknes of the spacer and ther for you need one underneth the disk to compensate for the move.
And its also probably necesery if you dont whant the swift bolt patern as the hub is week inbetwen the original bolts.

The thiknes of the 2 spacers you can also use insted of doing a extra spacer to adust the with betwene the wheels to get what you have in the front.

So if you like the boltpatern as it is then you only need to do a new mounting for the pads, the 2 sleewings and you are home.

And if you dont like the swift patern you need to make the 2 spacers and 2 sleewings.

This is the final result of the back brakes. We changed it a little sins the firts drawings, well we aktually made it that way to and it worked fine just as we hoped but the weelbase changed 15mm for reasons i dident think of in the begining.
So we made new drawings and changed the rubber dome that is the suspention for a spring and some aluminium mountings for it to save space and therefor we culd mount the holder for the brakepads directly on the rearweelarm wich made the weelbase unchanged.

So in the end all we needed was this! Way simpler then the first way but thats how it is, a fiew wrong makes one right.
